What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage all billing and collection activities for assigned fee-for-service and third-party facilities
- Stay updated on applicable CPT coding changes and communicate updates to relevant parties
- Utilize sophisticated automated billing systems to ensure accurate processing
- Travel to various locations as needed to support billing functions
- Collaborate with team members to resolve billing issues and improve processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of five (5) years of prior medical billing experience, or two (2) years of college and one (1) year of healthcare experience
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal/Medicaid, and commercial insurance billing
- High level of proficiency in PC applications, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to work independently and make informed judgments based on experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age and pass background checks, including fingerprinting
