What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct research using deep reinforcement learning techniques within game AI contexts
- Explore novel algorithms and methodologies to address AI challenges in modern PlayStation games
- Develop code to support research endeavors, primarily using Python
- Prepare reports and deliver presentations for diverse audiences within the organization
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team on ambitious demonstration projects
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently pursuing a Ph.D. with a focus on reinforcement learning or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in designing and troubleshooting neural networks
- Enthusiasm for integrating AI solutions into gaming applications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with deep reinforcement learning and its applications in gaming
- Familiarity with software development practices and version control systems
- Previous internship or research experience in AI or game development
