      Job Description Summary

      Working as part of the Modern Workplace Technology organisation, the Release & Vulnerability Management Lead is responsible for keeping the Banks 90,000 Windows client devices evergreen & secure through continual testing & business engagement

      This is a senior leadership level role and will blend both deep domain & technical expertise with great passion for coaching and developing people in a “player-coach” model including advocation for team wellbeing.

      This role will be an advocate for Engineering, providing a voice to engineers within the teams, identifying and supporting their teams in resolution of impediments and issues as well as continually developing themselves with industry best practice and tooling used across their engineering team.

      Location : Leeds (hybrid working)

      Benefits: base salary, plus annual personal bonus, 15% employer pension contribution (when you put in 6%), private medical insurance, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays.

      • Working as part of the Modern Workplace Technology organisation, the Release & Vulnerability Management Lead is responsible for keeping the Banks 90,000 Windows client devices evergreen & secure through continual testing & business engagement!

You’ll actively promote new ways of working, transformation methodology and maintain an inclusive environment.

      • Being an advocate for Engineering is key, providing a voice to engineers within the teams, identifying and supporting their teams in resolution of impediments and issues as well as continually developing themselves with industry best practice and tooling used across their engineering team.

      What does the role involve?

      • Manages development, delivery & continual improvement of release management processes for Windows client estate.

      • Exceptional stakeholder management & continuous testing to ensure the Quality (security) updates, Feature updates & Vulnerability patches meet experience, performance, security and functionality needs of the organisation

      • Works closely with our Compliance, Risk and Cyber teams to ensure products & services comply with the regulatory framework.

      • Manages definition, prioritisation & delivery of the Release Management product backlog.

      • Manages & coordinates Controls across the Modern Workplace platform.

      • Contributes to defining roadmaps and strategies for technologies, tools and architectures.

      • Champions and delivers a DevOps/SRE approach, engineering products for operational automation and self-service.

      • Balancing investment and resource priorities to focus on those that drive value, deliver on our commitments and technical improvements to improve the colleague experience.

      • Develops and delivers contingency plans for significant aspects of the risk management and control processes.

      • Develops innovative solutions by integrating and analysing complex and diverse information sources.

      • Meets changing requirements by developing new testing approaches and strategy for a defined range of products and operations.

      You will lead a team in this role and you'll need to:

      • Focus on your team to ensure they have the appropriate training in our methodologies and understand their role in the organisation.

      • Coach and mentor others throughout the organisation, taking ownership for development of self and others, actively seeking and providing feedback.

      • Sets objectives and takes responsibility for implementing team's performance management systems with guidance from senior colleagues.
