      Your Role and Responsibilities

      The IBM Software Core team is hiring for a Release Manager to contribute to the successful release management of a large portfolio of IBM products. With approximately 60 services delivering on our common platform, we are searching for someone to:

      • Ensure the on-time delivery of feature requirements for all major releases
      • Monitor service compliance to non-functional requirements in the Cloud Pak certification tool
      • Triage incoming defects and continuously follow up on their progress to ensure on-time delivery
      • Contribute innovative suggestions for process improvement and automation

      The role seeks exceptional levels of personal organization and the ability to work well within a distributed global team in a fast paced and exciting environment. You will be office based, working with senior software engineers who will help you integrate into the team, the department and wider IBM. The work will be varied and the flexibility to learn new technologies and skills is key as we look to help grow your career within IBM. A positive attitude and a passion to succeed is essential.

      Required Technical and Professional Expertise

      • Comprehensive understanding of the entire software development lifecycle
      • Experience with github projects or similar technology
      • Expertise at working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic development environment
      • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities
      • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
      • Excellent organizational skills
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills

      Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

      • Experience managing project scrums and prioritizing must fix defects
      • Technical experience in building and delivering complex software systems
      • PMP or business background is an asset

      Bachelor's Degree
