      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Review and validate requests for the release of medical information according to established departmental policies and procedures
      - Scan and enter requests into the appropriate release of information database for processing
      - Determine records to be released by reviewing requestor information following departmental and HIPAA guidelines
      - Coordinate and communicate with applicable departments and/or off-site record storage vendors to obtain medical record portions relevant to requests
      - Process approved requests while ensuring compliance with medical privacy and departmental policies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Certification in Health Information Management (RHIT or RHIA) is preferred
      - Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of patient information
      - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing requests
      - Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and staff
      - Ability to perform administrative duties including servicing walk-in customers and handling inquiries

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a healthcare setting or health information management
      - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical record management
      - Proficiency in database applications used for medical information processing
