What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Handle inbound phone calls from members, averaging 40 calls a day
- Translate written materials and provide spoken interpretation during meetings
- Participate in political work for candidates and member political education as required
- Commit to a five-week training program, including both in-person and remote sessions
- Perform other duties as assigned by the employer
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be fluent in one of the following languages: Korean, Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, or Chinese
- At least 1 year of direct customer service experience in environments such as call centers, retail, or hospitality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Stable work history with minimal employment gaps
- Strong computer and technical skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a call center or human services referral environment
- Background in social justice organizations
- Familiarity with data collection, billing, or insurance claims processes
- Excellent critical thinking skills
