What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of medical records to ensure accurate coding and documentation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulations
- Provide education and training on coding best practices and documentation standards
- Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in coding accuracy
- Support various service lines through clinical review processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a clinical setting
- Active RN - Nurse Licensure Compact
- Certification as a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP)
- Experience in academic or Trauma I settings
- Critical care clinical experience

- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record systems
