What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the first point of contact for individuals in emotional distress or mental health crises
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support through telephone and virtual sessions
- Dispatch mobile crisis response workers when on-site support is necessary
- Collaborate with team members and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate records of all calls and interactions with clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a human service-related field
- Experience in providing crisis services and functioning as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) or Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience working with seriously and persistently mentally ill or substance-using populations
- Familiarity with community resources related to psychiatry, substance use, and medical services
- Proficiency in navigating electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications
