What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide learning activities and experiences tailored to special education students to help them reach their full potential
- Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and instructional materials according to student ability levels
- Collaborate with IEP teams to develop, implement, and monitor student progress toward IEP goals
- Ensure compliance with legal IEP requirements
- Participate in team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for improvement
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience working with special education students
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation
- Ability to modify curricula and instructional materials for diverse learning needs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in developing educational programs or activities for special education students
- Familiarity with legal compliance regarding special education
- Additional certifications related to special education or instructional design
