What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Evaluate student needs and determine appropriate accommodations for those with disabilities
- Advise on disability management and ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies
- Develop and implement creative accessibility solutions in collaboration with faculty and staff
- Serve as a liaison between campus disability services offices to coordinate support for students
- Utilize learning outcome assessments to enhance program offerings
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in a related field
- Minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional student services work experience
- General knowledge of disability-related laws and service provisions for students with disabilities
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while addressing student concerns
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining effective relationships with students having varied disabilities
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a directly related field
- Experience in conflict resolution and counseling techniques
- Familiarity with alternative accessibility solutions and program development
