- Creating and maintaining files for clinical trials.
- Running system database searches for mail-outs.
- Assisting in trial data collection.
- Maintenance of databases.
- Ownership/management of the study management tool (Edge) which includes inputting and checking data, populating recruitment figures and general maintenance.
- Managing the distribution of study information to relevant individuals for their consideration.
- Managing the practice responses, answering questions and linking with the study teams as necessary.
- Proactively follow up study roll out and chase replies both autonomously and from time to time under instruction.
- Prioritise incoming paperwork and emails, letters and documentation for the research team.
- Reporting concerns and perceived priorities to the Research Lead.
- Co-ordinate nurse clinics to optimise nurse availability to maximise patient recruitment.
- Organise and maintain an up-to-date filing system.
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.

Job summary
Caradoc Surgery, based in Frinton are seeking a research administrator/general administrator to join our friendly team on a part-time basis for 22.5 hours a week. Working days will be Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 7.5 hours per day.
The role will be divided between the two areas, research admin for 15 hours per week and the general admin taking up the remaining hours. This key role within the team will be busy and varied relying on the successful post-holder to possess excellent organisation skills.

The PCN comprises of Ranworth Surgery in Clacton on Sea, Green Elms Health Centre in Jaywick, Kennedy Way Medical Centre in Holland on Sea and Caradoc Surgery in Frinton on Sea. We have a diverse patient population of around 32,000 patients and all practices work on SystmOne.
