Job Details:

Responsibilities will include working with your manager executing research projects, as assigned. This will include conducting experiments, data collection, entry, and analysis, as well as results reporting. Activities will include bench top research, data collection, pilot plant testing, and scale‐up production at a federally inspected research facility and final commercialization at full scale production facility. Candidates should be able to execute meat science research with precision and technical skill. Additionally, ability to communicate technical data or concepts to laypersons on their level of understanding will be beneficial in this role. Candidates will be required to effectively work on cross functional teams for project completion. Travel to production facilities will result in hours worked outside the normal corporate work schedule. Personnel working in any plant environment will need to have a heightened awareness to personal safety due to cold environment, wet floors, moving machinery and the nature of the processing equipment.

EDUCATION: B.S. in Food Science, Meat Science, or related field.

EXPIERENCE: No degree or associates with minimum of 3 years of relevant expierence.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Requires basic computer skills with ability to fully utilize MS Office products.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills required. Presentation skills required. Must effectively communicate with cross functional business partners

SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management skills. Strong numerical skills.

SUPERVISORY: No direct reports

TRAVEL: 10% ‐ 6+ domestic trips per year. Travel will be required to accomplish our internal and external customer needs. Travel will include plant production facilities for testing and commercialization of new products, process trouble shooting and any other regular business needs.
