What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Produce interlinear gloss for Diné/Navajo sentences through linguistic data annotation
- Engage with native language speakers for cross-linguistic comparison and morpheme segmentation
- Collaborate with linguists for guidance on linguistic analysis and methodology
- Assist in the development of research papers, including editing and content refinement
- Maintain regular communication with faculty, staff, and students regarding project progress
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree
- Familiarity with or expertise in the Diné/Navajo language is highly desirable
- Strong interest in linguistics, language technologies, or computational linguistics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage variable weekly hours
