What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Co-lead collaborative workshops with agency partners to develop a decision prototype for Cisco restoration in Lake Erie
- Integrate research products to predict management outcomes and support decision analysis
- Develop predictive decision analysis for optimal allocation of management actions under uncertainties
- Support the creation of implementation and adaptive management plans for Cisco restoration
- Lead the development of manuscripts focused on decision analytic tools and the Coregonine Restoration Framework
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ph.D. degree in Fisheries, Wildlife, Ecology, or a related field by the anticipated start date
- Demonstrated desire and ability to publish peer-reviewed literature
- Excellent organizational skills and personal communication abilities
- Experience collaborating with state and federal agencies on natural resources management studies
- Strong writing skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience coordinating collaborative meetings or workshops
- Familiarity with Structured Decision Making processes
- Experience developing decision support tools for natural resources management, particularly in fisheries
- Strong quantitative skills in decision analysis and fisheries management
- Ability to adapt communication styles to connect with diverse audiences
