What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide strategic direction and operational leadership for the clinical trials program
- Oversee a multidisciplinary team of research professionals, ensuring accountability for performance
- Maintain oversight of compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations for clinical trials
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking for clinical trials
- Serve as a senior liaison to principal investigators and facilitate study start-up and operational implementation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's degree in health sciences, public health, and four years of relevant experience
- Proven experience managing clinical trials or research programs, including staff supervision
- Strong skills in organizational strategy and resource management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret and apply federal, state, and institutional research policies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous clinical or nursing experience in emergency medicine, acute care, or critical care environments
- Experience collaborating with industry sponsors and contract research organizations
- Demonstrated success in developing research operations systems at the program or departmental level
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in human subjects research
- Proven ability to develop and implement departmental strategies for research growth
