What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead, train, mentor, and manage a team of data scientists and analysts
- Develop and oversee predictive and prescriptive models using statistical and machine learning techniques
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security while maintaining compliance with regulations
- Communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to execute complex research protocols
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's or PhD degree in data science, computer science, economics, statistics, mathematics, bioinformatics, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in data science, analytics, and/or bioinformatics
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership role managing a team
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare and clinical research environments
- 5+ years of proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, SAS, and SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5+ years of experience developing predictive analytic solutions using tools like GCP ML Ops, R, Python, H2O, SAS, and SQL
- 3+ years of experience creating data visualizations for results reporting and business intelligence
- 2+ years working with electronic capture systems (EDC) and survey design
- 1+ years of experience with project tracking tools such as Salesforce or JIRA
