What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Analyze and produce key estimates for assigned research projects and contribute to research design
- Independently conduct quantitative analyses and interpret results from junior staff
- Develop and distribute complex datasets for epidemiological and statistical analyses
- Lead the development and execution of statistical methods and coding techniques
- Write and co-author scientific publications for peer-reviewed journals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, biostatistics, math, economics, quantitative social sciences, or related discipline plus four years of related experience
- Demonstrated understanding of common measurement methods and study designs in analytic observational epidemiology
- Excellent analytic, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines
- Experience with statistical modeling techniques and coding in R or Python
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- MD or PhD in relevant fields with two years of experience preferred
- Experience with machine learning and data mining techniques
- Proven track record of mentoring junior employees
- Familiarity with project management methods
- Established peer-reviewed publication record
