What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct experimental studies on natural language processing and machine learning tasks to assess model accuracy and quality
- Transition research models into production across various platforms
- Conduct proof-of-concept experiments using lab and customer data
- Publish patents and peer-reviewed papers in leading machine learning conferences
- Propose new machine learning models to enhance Pindrop products
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master's and/or PhD in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, etc.)
- 3+ years of professional experience as a researcher in natural language processing or related fields
- Strong Python programming skills and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Keras
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in prestigious conferences and journals
- Strong collaboration skills and a history of successful stakeholder partnerships
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with AI-driven code research and development using AI assistants (e.g., Anthropic or Copilot)
- Participation in NLP competitions and challenges (e.g., PAN, Kaggle, NIST SRE, Chime)
- Deep knowledge of authentication, fraud, or customer experience concepts
- Experience communicating with internal and external customers regarding proof-of-concepts and issues
