What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive high-performance data acquisition, preparation, and synthesis pipelines for speech and language AI models
- Develop advanced characterizations of complex conversational audio using signal processing techniques and deep learning models
- Collaborate with DataOps and Engineering to create automated systems for human annotators to label data and provide feedback
- Build advanced benchmarking methodologies and curated datasets for evaluating conversational voice systems
- Document and present results of data experiments and analysis to internal and external audiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience in building data processing pipelines from scratch and owning the entire data stack
- Expertise in applying statistical methods and deep learning models to understand complex data
- Strong communication skills to translate complex concepts for varied audiences
- Proficient in software engineering, particularly in developing clean, modular code in Python and working with Pytorch
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or Language Processing
- Experience in building models, especially in the context of speech and audio
- Familiarity with audio processing and analysis techniques
