- Assists in planning and coordinating customer sales activities with the team.
- Schedules and conducts intro calls/capabilities presentations to prospective customers.
- Generates customer leads, develops referrals, and makes contacts to potential clients via multiple sources. Responds quickly to all leads identified as potential sales opportunities.
- Delivers timely and attentive customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Utilize strong sales reporting skills by maintaining accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market feedback within the CRM. Prepare and submit regular sales reports to the CPM management team.
- Assists in researching, analyzing, and communicating the technological, demographic, financial, regulatory, and competitive factors that affect the sales strategies to strategic accounts.
- Participates in promotional activities that meet the goals of the enterprise (e.g. may attend trade shows, seminars, and other promotional activities).
- Assists in the preparation and development of responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) and while maintaining the required follow-through on outstanding quotes and proposals for potential sponsor clients.
- Develops and maintains a positive Company image and positive relations with integrity between the Company and key customers.
- Practices and responds with commitment and sensitivity toward satisfying the needs of internal teams and external customers.
- Evaluates situations objectively and demonstrates the ability to make timely decisions intended to have a positive effect on work performance.
- Organizes and prioritizes work assignments and tasks so they're completed on time with the ability to anticipate problem areas in advance. Applies creative approaches and ideas to problem solving efforts, maximizing effective use of appropriate resources.
- Demonstrates flexibility in approach and ideas, responds positively and supports changes in procedures, process, technology, responsibility and assignments.
- Provides professional presentations and contributions to any corporate contact during off-site interactions.
- Demonstrates thorough knowledge and understanding of all Company products and services to meet the mission and goals of the enterprise. Establishes and maintains routine communication with the Partnership Management team.
- Demonstrates a commitment to maintain safe, clean and orderly work area. Promotes and follows safety regulations and actively contributes to work safely.
- Maintains cooperative and productive working relationships and communications with all employees, participating effectively as a team member. Encourages and assists others in self-improvement.

SUMMARY:
Contributes to the CPM team's daily activities and assists in executing sales initiatives to meet organizational objectives. Maintains good customer relations, pursues new business opportunities, and performs account management duties. Responsible for identifying new customer leads, prospect outreach, and converting leads to sales with business travel as needed. Success in this position requires a proactive mindset, the ability to work independently, and a passion for driving results. Assists in implementing new ideas to promote Company products and services effectively.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:
A BA or BS degree from a four-year college or university is required, with 1-2 years of related experience and/or training in business development, sales, or marketing, preferably in the health care, clinical research, or service-related environment. Relevant experience with a Contract Research Organization and a strong interest in the respiratory field, a plus.
Other Skills and Abilities:
An ability to cultivate and maintain effective internal and external relationships, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team and strong organizational and time management abilities.
Computer skills to include proficiency in Microsoft Office software and ability to learn Company specific software.
Willingness to travel up to 50% for industry conferences (approx. 4-5/year)
Must be able to project a professional attitude and image appropriate for the work environment.
Knowledge of respiratory, pharma, or CRO space, a plus.
Licenses or Certifications Required:
Successful completion of a sales training program within 3 months of hire.
