      SUMMARY:

      The Respiratory Services Assistant supports the clinical teams in completing daily tasks and outreach for our patients. This role communicates with patients, referral sources, and across multiple teams to request documentation that is needed, complete patient requests, and assist where needed.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
      1. Completes Compliance tasks daily; including contacting patients, scheduling appointments, and completing Sleep Glad or Telehealth appointments that do not require a clinician.
      2. Reviews insurance compliance requirements with patients.
      3. Educates patients on the use & maintenance of their PAP machine & supplies.
      4. Assists in PAP charting when needed.
      5. Supports the continuum of care by communicating with the physician or other clinicians, identifying, and resolving patient care issues whenever possible.
      6. Maintains current and thorough knowledge of DASCO equipment and services.
      7. Completes supply orders for various supplies per patient request.
      8. Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

      REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or GED equivalent

      PREFERRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 1. Six months' experience in medical/insurance/healthcare/DME field.

      ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: None.

      COMPETENCIES: Conflict Management Customer service / client focus
