      We're looking for a Restaurant General Manager to build and lead our dynamic team!

      The Restaurant General Manager will be the key player of marking our positioning in downtown Toronto. You will be part of the opening team.


      We are seeking a passionate experienced Restaurant leader to take control of our new restaurant. The Restaurant General Manager works to own and oversee the operations of the restaurant. You will be responsible to build, hire and train the restaurant team. Focusing on staff training, generation of top line revenue and management of labor and cost of goods, the General Manager will be involved in leading all aspects of the restaurant to success while ensuring a best-in-class guest experience.


      What will I be doing?
      To successfully fill this role, you should be able to demonstrate the attitude, behaviors, skills and values that follow:

      • Oversee the entire operation of our new French Restaurant, including motivating & organizing our opening team
      • Create training manuals to train sequence of service and service standards in alignment with the concept
      • Collaborate creating Food & Beverage Menus with the Chef & Bar Manager, Program POS menu items, ensure accurate data and feedback is taken into consideration
      • In partnership with the Beverage Manager, curate cocktail and beverage lists that create experiences and drive revenue
      • Recruit, interview, and hire team members; conduct performance appraisals, take disciplinary action, motivate and train
        Lead by example! Offer hands on management style with exceptional leadership skills
      • Forecast revenues and create restaurant budgets
      • Ensure all stations are set up according to standards
      • Oversee that team member sections and all side work are completed
      • Foster a culture of recognition and reward focused on the achievement of financial metrics, food quality and performance
      • Ensure the guest experience is executed flawlessly
      • Foreseeing problems before they arise and building contingency plans to ensure our guest and team members experience never waivers
      • Review weekly reservations and events
      • Creatively create elevated experiences for guests
      • Implement innovative Private Dining Room experiences to drive revenue
      • Host and lead weekly manager meetings
      • OS&E inventory Control
      • Drive revenue through maximizing seating and meal periods, monitor seating times and booking trends
      • Put in place a relevant upselling program ensuring average checks are monitored and opportunities to increase these are capitalized on
      • Overall financial responsibility for the restaurant including scheduling, purchasing and ordering, inventory control and effective use of the POS and all available tools
      • Liaise with the Marketing team to ensure the restaurant is active on social media and that all online feedback and comments are answered, and that the restaurant is active and represented within the food and restaurant community of the city

      What are we looking for?
      To successfully fill this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:

      • Minimum of 2 years restaurant General Manager experience
      • Passionate about elevated guest experience
      • Food Safety Certification Level 1 & Smart Serve Certification
      • Sommelier & Beverage curation experience an asset
      • In depth knowledge / expertise of the hospitality / food & beverage service industry
      • Strong computer skills including Microsoft office software, POS system, Reservation system, and other related applications
      • Flexible schedule, must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
      • Must be able to stand and walk throughout the shift
