Integrity is important to this leadership role, you will demonstrate openness, and building trust with employees, vendors, any persons doing business with the LCBO.
Understanding of the business planning, budget process and performance reports.
Ensure staff understands the bottom-line measurements with performance goals established for the store concerning: units sold per employee hour; inventory turns; salary to sales; net income as percentage of sales.
Schedule staff to meet performance standards while following customer service standards, budget, and the Collective Agreement.
Manage appropriate execution of corporate merchandising directives to ensure all deliverables are met.
Trouble-shoot to ensure all designs, signage, displays, and gift sets are done according to operational plans and guidelines.
Ensure inventory levels are consistent with customer demand and appropriate breadth of assortment.
Ensure proper inventory receiving and inventory controls are maintained.
Maintain customer service levels by ensuring all staff is engaged, motivated, trained and follow LCBO's Standards of Excellence.
Customer-Centric: ensures and prompts attention to customers and inspires strategies through staff that enhance the LCBO brand.
Ensure staffs are knowledgeable to provide information to customer with inquiries.
Manage store within social responsibility practices by ensuring training availability to all staff for all corporate Social Responsibility programs, including refusal of service to underage and intoxicated persons, and intervention of second party purchases.
Encourage store participation in local events.
Maintain a positive profile in the community by collaborating to promote LCBO's social responsibility mandate and endeavors.
Secondary Education is required.
Have working knowledge of the internet/intranet and current applications including, Word, Excel, and web-based ordering.
Progressive experience as a Retail Manager in important areas such as Customer Service, Human Resources, Business Management, Inventory Management and Merchandising.
Smart Serve Certification is required.
Experience with, and exposure to social responsibility issues, facilities management, security requirements, health, and safety, WSIB and workplace diversity.

Job Posting Description:The Retail Manager role exists to support the Store Manager in our higher volume, more complex store locations in order to contribute to the overall business objectives. This is a leadership role, with total store accountability to business operations, customer experience and employee engagement. The Retail Manager will work predominately afternoons to maximize leadership coverage, supervision, and overall business continuity.
As a leader you will positively support your employees through leading change, performance enhancement, training, teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement. The Retail Manager position manages a team by focusing on the LCBO's leadership competencies: lead people, build relationships, increase profitability, and enhance the brand and demonstrating integrity.
About the Role
