What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Welcome customers and provide friendly and professional customer service
- Assist customers in locating and handling merchandise
- Process orders and deliveries accurately to ensure timely receipt of merchandise
- Cross-functionally train in other areas of the store to enhance customer service
- Prepare merchandise based on customer needs (e.g., mixing paint, cutting materials)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6 months of experience using a computer for inputting, accessing, and modifying information
- 6 months of experience using common retail technology, such as smartphones and tablets
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
- Capability to perform duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and lifting
- Ability to lift 25 lbs unassisted or over 25 lbs with or without accommodation
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience
- Bi-lingual skills
- Certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden)
