      Job Description

      ABOUT THE JOB
      The Retail Sales Representative role is responsible for maximizing revenue and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout retail locations in an established territory. Key responsibilities include training, coaching, and driving sales revenue across Millwork, In-Home, and Pro sales departments. The Retail Sales Representative will manage account relationships and provide support for the full Therma-Tru / Larson/ Fiberon product line.

      The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of sales experience, be able to build long-lasting relationships with stakeholders, execute product knowledge sessions for retail staff, and implement sales initiatives to meet and exceed sales goals. This is a field-based role that requires regular daily travel. Comprehensive training will be provided to help you quickly build expertise in our product portfolio, sales processes, and customer solutions.

      This is a field sales role based in the Northwest region with 50% travel required. The territory covers Washington, Oregon, and Alaska with a high concentration in the Seattle, WA and Portland, OR areas.

      YOUR ROLE

      • Support Sales growth across multiple product lines in your assigned territory
      • Visit Home Depot and Lowe's retail locations regularly to build relationships and identify opportunities for growth
      • Provide product knowledge and training to retail staff so they can confidently share brand benefits with customers
      • Serve as the main point of contact for store staff and managers, helping them succeed with our products
      • Make sure displays, signage, and pricing are accurate and set up on schedule in each store
      • Partner with Pro Sales teams and distributor reps to drive awareness, support Pro-focused programs, and attend retail Pro Events
      • Assist Retail In-Home Sales Consultants to help drive Repair & Replace business
      • Plan your travel effectively while staying within budget and meeting sales goals
      • Collaborate with distributor partners and internal teams to align on sales programs and new product launches
      • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams on sales messaging, product performance, and point-of-purchase (POP) materials
      • Support customer service by helping resolve claims and ensuring customer satisfaction
      • Recommend changes to product assortment to match customer demand and increase sales
      • Ensure stores maintain strong merchandising standards during each visit
      • 1+ year of sales experience (ideally client facing)
      • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
      • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
      • Strong communication skills and enjoys talking with people and building long-lasting relationships
      • Ability to prioritize competing tasks, create action plans, and follow through to completion
      • Available for daily travel within the territory


      Qualifications
      • Coursework or college degree in Business, Sales, or similar field of study
      • Field sales experience
      • Understanding of sales process and cycle
      • Background in the building materials or millwork industry (e.g. windows, doors, decking, railing, plumbing)
      • Familiarity working with any CRM platform (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Dynamics, etc)
      • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time to ensure full region coverage


      Additional Information

      Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $65,000 USD - $95,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
