      JOB SUMMARY

      The RCO Supervisor is responsible for providing supervisory oversight to the staff responsible for performing daily activities for designated team. Supervises team members by empowering, coaching, providing guidance, and leading by example. Provides staff with opportunities for learning and personal growth.

      ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Supports the objectives of the Department Manager.
      • Ensures that all processing and quality standards are maintained. Assist in completing random quality review to ensure processes are being followed and identifying training needs and/or improvement opportunities.
      • Implements enhanced work processes within the department, as directed by management.
      • Evaluates workflow and workloads throughout the department on a daily basis. Alerts manager to backlog conditions. Implements corrective action, as directed.
      • Provides team member support in resolution of reimbursement issue.
      • Ensures team members meet subsidiary standards as it relates to the team’s daily responsibilities (i.e. data entry, coding, patient calls, etc.).
      • Ensures team members follow all compliance plan standards conforming to applicable guidelines and regulations.
      • Remains current on applicable billing and reimbursement changes, guidelines, and updates.
      • Provides team members with support and motivation.
      • Recognizes and provides coaching, counseling, and discipline as appropriate.
      • Delegates work appropriately and follows through to ensure optimal results.
      • Other duties as assigned.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

      • Ability to communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
      • Requires organizational and time management skills necessary to organize special project teams to reach predetermined goals.
      • Requires the ability to adapt to urgent deadlines or changing priorities and maintain composure in high stress situations at all times.
      • Proficient computer skills.
      • Solid understanding of billing and reimbursement processes.
      • Ability to demonstrate analytical problem-solving skills.
      • Exercises a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve objectives for area of responsibility.
      • Ability to share information effectively and provide appropriate direction to staff.
      • Ability to excel with change, respond appropriately even in challenging situations and to motivate others in a positive manner.

      • Promotes good public relations on the phone and in person.
      • Adapts and is willing to learn new tasks, methods, and systems.
      • Reports to work regularly as scheduled; consistently punctual with respect to working hours, meal and rest breaks, and maintains satisfactory personal attendance in accordance with RadNet guidelines.
      • Consistently adheres to the time management policies and procedures.
      • Completes job responsibilities in a quality and timely manner.
      • The above knowledge, skills and abilities may be demonstrated by an Associate Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a four-year degree in business or a related field and/or equivalent as well as medical billing experience.

      Pay Range: $54,080 - $65,000 / year
