What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform and process accurate billing procedures for all payors using a medical claims management system
- Ensure timely and accurate insurance reimbursement for all Government and Managed Care payors
- Monitor and audit the status of errors assigned to other areas or teams, ensuring timely follow-up
- Maintain communication with external agencies, vendors, and internal departments to ensure compliance and performance
- Analyze daily correspondence related to denials and underpayments to resolve issues effectively
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one year of experience in healthcare, finance, accounting, banking, insurance, billing, or related fields
- One year of college can be substituted for experience
- Ability to work independently while meeting time and daily deadlines
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with management and team members
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with medical claims management systems
- Familiarity with insurance reimbursement processes
- Previous roles in customer service related to healthcare
- Knowledge of contractual terms and performance protocols in healthcare billing
- Skills in analyzing financial data and resolving billing issues
