      As an independent function within the Roche Group, Group Risk Advisory facilitates the dialogue with the business and enables focus on key Risks & Opportunities to achieve goals and create sustainable business value. Its main focus areas are:

      • Facilitation of the Roche Group Risk & Opportunity Management Process and other Risk & Opportunity Assessments

      • Further development and enhancement of the Risk & Opportunity Management at Roche Group

      • Raising awareness on Risk & Opportunity Management in Roche Group

      • Education of the entire Roche Group on Risk & Opportunity Management.

      For our team we are looking for a Risk & Opportunity Manager who will support us in further driving forward Enterprise Risk & Opportunity Management at Roche.

      Main responsibilities:

      • Contributes to the Group Risk & Opportunity Management Process as a business partner, facilitator, and communicator at the interface of business units functions and top management.

      • Contributes to delivering the annual Group Risk Report through consolidating risks & opportunities and analysis leading to concise, clear and well-documented messages to the Corporate Executive Committee and the Board of Directors (or Audit Committee).

      • Contributes to the annual effectiveness evaluation of the Group Risk & Opportunity Management Process to continuously improve the efficiency and added value of the process.

      • Initiates, leads and/or contributes to Affiliate, Regional and/or special Risk & Opportunity Assessments (along Group Risk & Opportunity Management Guidelines) and contributes to and/or collectively leads projects within Group Audit & Risk Advisory (GA&RA).

      • Owns and manages relationships with (senior) leaders in the business and drives and/or contributes to Group Risk Advisory projects (along Group Risk Advisory Strategy).

      • Raises awareness and educates on Risk & Opportunity Management across the Roche Group and strengthens the Risk & Opportunity Management community and network.

      • Stays abreast of developments and best practices in Enterprise Risk & Opportunity Management and participates in and contributes to cross-industry Risk & Opportunity Management working groups and institutions.

      Skills:

      • A solid higher education in a business-related field and a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise risk & opportunity management is required.

      • A background in consultancy would be advantageous, and specific expertise in the healthcare industry is highly desired.

      • You have a strong leadership and entrepreneurial mindset, emphasizing the ability to navigate complex challenges with innovative solutions.

      • Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial, complemented by strong facilitation capabilities and tech-savviness.

      • You collaborate successfully with interdisciplinary, cross-cultural teams and engage effectively with senior management. Adaptability to diverse audiences and stakeholders is key, and fluency in written and verbal English is a prerequisite, with proficiency in other languages considered a plus. A willingness to travel, up to 25%, is also expected.
