What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage Workers' Compensation claims from initial report through resolution, ensuring clear communication with injured employees
- Oversee the relationship with the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) for claim investigation and resolution
- Administer the financial components of the Workers' Compensation program, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Partner with supervisors to coordinate the return-to-work program for injured employees
- Ensure compliance with Washington State Workers' Compensation regulations and reporting requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in Finance, Business, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of four years of related professional Workers' Compensation claims experience, preferably in Washington State
- Proficiency in interpreting medical reports and terminology
- Familiarity with industry best practices in Workers' Compensation claims management
- Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation preferred
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience managing Workers' Compensation claims from intake through resolution
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP Extension Act (MMSEA) rules
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Prior experience working with a Third-Party Administrator (TPA)
- Advanced user of Riskonnect or other Risk Management Information Systems (RIMS)
