      Job Description:

      Job Title- Non-Financial Risk APAC, AVP

      Location- Pune, India

      Role Description:

      As a Non-Financial Risk APAC team member, you will (be):

      • Report & review non-financial risk metrics for APAC and global management for all 9 APAC locations periodically in order to assure proper non-financial risk management oversight
      • Join with DCO and/or the Regional Management team to lead discussions with relevant stakeholders who will undertake a lessons learned assessment when required, and implement the remedial actions triggered by loss events or incidents, or when key control gaps are identified
      • Advise 1LoD independently in their assessment of risk profile as part of all Non Financial Risk assessments, including the Risk and Control Assessment, New Product Approvals, Reputational Risk assessments, and Third Party Risk Management
      • Required deep understanding of NFR frameworks and regulations related to Operational Risk types such as Business Continuity & Physical Safety, Data & Records, Information Security & Technology, Product Governance, Third Party (Vendor) Management and Transaction Processing. Work collaboratively with DWS NFRM global colleagues and other DWS Control Functions who support the relevant OR types (e.g., CISO for Information Security).
      • Challenge 1LoD`s Risk Governance in line with Global DWS framework as well as APAC local regulation
      • Assist in the drafting, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the NFR portions of legal entity specific Risk Appetite Statements for DWS’ APAC entities based on the relevant APAC location`s risk profile and risk bearing capacity
      • Provide training in Operational Risk Management Frameworks to employees in APAC locations

      Your key responsibilities:

      • Report & review non-financial risk metrics for APAC and global management for all 9 APAC locations periodically in order to assure the proper non-financial oversight
      • Lead the discussion with relevant stakeholders to implement the remedial actions triggered by the incident or when control gaps are identified
      • Advise 1LoD independently for their assessment of risk profile at Risk and Control Assessment, control gap remediations for Audit Findings and Self-Identified Issues
      • Review the effectiveness of remedial actions for Audit Findings and Self-Identified Issues from Risk Type Controller`s perspective
      • Required deep understanding of framework and regulations related to Operational Risk Management including Risk Type Controllers such as Business Continuity & Physical Safety, Data & Records, Information Security & Technology, Product Governance, Third Party (Vendor) Management and Transaction Processing
      • Challenge 1LoD`s Risk Governance in line with Global DWS framework as well as APAC local regulation
      • Assist the implementation and maintenance of Risk Appetite Statements for DWS’ APAC entities based on APAC location`s risk profile
      • Train the Operational Risk Management Framework to employees in APAC locations

      Your skills and experience:

      • Working experience ideally in Operational Risk Management for an Asset Management Company
      • 6+ years working experience in Operational Risk Management or Risk Type Controllers for Business Continuity & Physical Safety, Data & Records, Information Security & Technology, Product Governance, Third Party (Vendor) Management and Transaction Processing is mandatory
      • Several years working experience in financial institution(s) is mandatory
      • Project Management experience is appreciated
      • Relevant industry certifications like CFA or FRM are a plus
