      As an RN Occupational Health Team Lead, you will provide nursing care and clinical oversight to Cleveland Clinic caregivers in the southern region supporting Akron General Medical Center, Mercy Hospital, and Union Hospital. You will coordinate daily operational issues and collaborate with the Nurse Manager to ensure consistent quality of care and compliance with regulatory agency standards in the day to day clinical operations and resolve patient care issues.

      A caregiver in this position works 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday traveling between Mercy Health, Akron General, and Union Hospital.

      A caregiver who excels in this role will:

      • Oversee nursing personnel and patient care providers in the clinical setting.
      • Coordinate activities of those providers to assure quality of patient care.
      • Monitor the day-to-day clinical operations of the outpatient clinic and provide professional nursing care to a specified population.
      • Cover other nursing roles in the department and facilitate smooth operation of the outpatient clinic desks.
      • Work as part of the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate clinical care and assist with orientation, teaching, coaching, and mentoring of assigned caregivers.
      • Participate in the annual personnel reviews of clinical nursing and patient care caregivers.
      • Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competencies.

      Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

      • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
      • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
      • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross
      • Three years of recent nursing experience, including RN and/or licensed LPN experience

      Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

      • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
      • Previous charge nurse, team lead, or similar informal leadership experience
      • ANM or supervisor looking to step into a non-managerial leadership role
      • Strong leadership presence to navigate challenging caregivers in the South
      • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage day-to-day clinical flow
      • Skilled in coaching peers, conflict resolution, and operational problem-solving
      • Strong clinical background—must be fully competent clinically to flex into direct patient care
      • Occupational Health experience
      • Comfort overseeing multiple sites and adjusting to changing day-to-day needs

      Physical Requirements:

      • Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.

      • Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.

      • May require some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.

      • Light Work- Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

      Personal Protective Equipment:

      • Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
