What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform concurrent review of medical records to ensure medical necessity and appropriateness of hospital admissions
- Educate physicians and clinical staff to improve the capture of clinical severity
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance patient outcomes
- Support timely and accurate measurement capture for quality improvement
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to promote best practices in clinical documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting within the last 4 years
- Proficient in word processing and PC-based spreadsheet programs
- Current Alabama RN license or Multi-State RN License in accordance with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama
- For specific areas, CRRN (Certified Rehabilitation RN) is required or eligibility must be established
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Background in management, clinical education, or case management
- National certification applicable to area of clinical practice
