      The purpose of the Prince William County Department of Facilities Department (FFM) is to sustain the foundation of local democracy. The Prince William County Department of FFM is seeking motivated individuals who can effectively manage and advance its security program to reduce the risk of human and property loss.       On our team, you will work with SMEs in the field of security to provide a robust and sustainable Security Division. Promoting our 24/7 Safety Culture by working with County departments and other program partners to create and advance the security program is a high priority.

      About This Role:
      This new position will work with County departments and other program partners to administer and advance a centralized security management program for Prince William County. A successful incumbent will be able to:

      • Develop a security risk assessment process and related threat and vulnerability assessments.
      • Facilitate and deliver basic and specialized training sessions such as those concerned with new employees, personal protection, workplace violence, Run-Hide-Fight, and crime prevention.
      • Develop curriculum outlines, lesson plans, operational procedures, and training programs.
      • Selects and develops teaching aids, such as handbooks, demonstrative models, visual aids, reference works, operating procedures, and other educational media.
      • Work with project personnel and provide security oversight, guidelines, and requirements on all new and existing building construction projects.
      • Compile, analyze, interpret statistical data, and prepare reports as it relates to security activity.
      • Provide bi-weekly security presentations on program process and implementation.
      • Review and respond to employee concerns related to security as needed.
      • Prepare professional reports and documents to support the security loss control efforts.
      Minimum Requirements:
      • High school diploma or G.E.D. and 5 years of related experience.

      Preferences:
      • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, Security Management or Public Administration preferred.
      • 5+ years of experience in facility security management, law enforcement, emergency management or a related field.
      • Experience compiling and tracking data and drawing meaningful conclusions.
      • Experience conducting field work related to security facility assessments and investigations.
      • Experience conducting specialized training in a classroom environment.
      • CPTED Certified.
      • Knowledge/Experience with CAD software.
      • Strong customer service and communication skills.
      • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint programs.

      Special Requirements:
      • Must possess a valid driver's license.
      • Must pass DMV record check.
      Work Schedule:
      Works Monday-Friday between 8 am-5 pm. May have to attend meetings or events outside of the set work hours. In this position, you are considered essential and must be able to respond after hours for emergencies.

      Starting Salary Range :
      $70,921.00 - $97,968.00 AnnualNote
