Job Description

- Plan and coordinate activities to improve plant safety.
- Analyze safety data to drive improvements and provide monthly updates.
- Oversee EMS compliance for ISO 14001.
- Maintain a presence on the production floor to support manufacturing.
- Coach and mentor in EHS programs.
- Coordinate EHS training and emergency preparedness/response activities.
- Monitor legislation for compliance.
- Conduct routine EHS audits and address findings.
- Investigate safety incidents and coordinate countermeasures.
- Establish and maintain safety/environmental policies in line with regulations.
- Train staff on policies and procedures.
- Act as a contact for government agencies regarding safety/environment.
- Manage waste disposal and industrial hygiene sampling.
- Oversee worker’s compensation processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 5+ years of experience in Industrial Safety, Environmental, or ISO 14001, with a high school diploma or G.E.D.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to present risk assessments to management.
- Knowledge of safety/environmental regulations.
- Incident investigation, decision-making, and probability skills.
- Leadership, team development, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong communication, judgment, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Efficiency, detail orientation, and motivation.
