What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prepare calculations and engineering details based on contract drawings and specifications
- Provide detailed consultation on building codes and complex framing scenarios to Builders and Estimators
- Evaluate customer-provided information for cost-effective solutions and apply value engineering
- Build and maintain relationships with Builders and Vendors while providing training on pricing tools
- Assist in the development of preliminary designs for Requests for Building Modifications (RBMs)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of metal building design experience or a related field
- Licensed Professional Engineer preferred for Sales Engineer II and required for Sales Engineer III
- Advanced knowledge of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) and design considerations
- Ability to train and mentor less experienced Sales Engineers and Estimators
- Minimum of 10 years of metal building design experience or related field for Sales Engineer III
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proven experience in providing engineering expertise across corporate design communities
- Experience supervising teams in the absence of management
- Familiarity with complex framing scenarios and non-standard geometries in building design
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with various stakeholders
