      Job Summary

      We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive to join our team. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, and driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate has +5 years in port drayage or Ocean sales with a steamship company or NVO in the Transpac market. Candidate needs to be a persuasive communicator with a passion for sales and a deep understanding of customer needs. This position demands a proactive approach to prospecting and market research, staying ahead of industry trends to effectively target high-potential accounts. The Sales Executive will collaborate closely with marketing and product teams to tailor solutions that address unique client challenges, ensuring satisfaction from the first contact through to post-sale follow-up. Success in this role requires adaptability, a tenacious attitude, and the enthusiasm to thrive in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment. In addition to the posted base salary, we offer a tiered commission structure with performance-based variable compensation, and we’re open to negotiating the details based on experience and fit.

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

      • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective qualifying sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business in all service categories to drive revenue growth
      • Possess in-depth service knowledge and be able to conduct demos and handle inquiries
      • Collaborate closely with key teams to design solutions that effectively address unique challenges
      • Prepare concise and accurate reports, proposals, and other required documentation for presentations
      • Achieve sales goals by assessing current needs and following a defined selling process with potential clients, often including product demos and presentations
      • Coordinate with upper management to ensure that quotas are being met and company standards are being upheld
      • Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell services.
      • Maintain working relationships with existing clients to ensure that they receive exceptional service.
      • Handles inbound sales lead calls to convert calls into sales.
      • Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers.
      • Builds and maintains customer relationships.
      • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries.
      • Travels to and attends trade shows.

      Education and/or Experience

      Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, and three to five plus years of related experience.

      Language Skills

      Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

      Mathematical Skills

      Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

      Reasoning Ability

      Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

      Computer Skills

      To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of Products (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
