      We are looking for a Sales Manager – Borates to join us today, with the key responsibility to develop sales and manage customer and distributor relationships in the European market.

      Reporting to the Senior Sales Manager EIMEA, and working in a collaborative environment, you will:

      • Develop and implement strategies and sales plans for the region to deliver annual sales performance (revenue, margin and tonnes).
      • Develop and implement customer segmentation and distribution strategies to maximize margins.
      • Develop and maintain productive relationships with key customers and distributors.
      • Driving market analysis/ competitor intelligence to provide commercial insights upon which short-term and longer-term strategies can be based.
      • As part of the market development activities, identify and define the agriculture customers’ needs with a view to better serve them and further develop borates market opportunities.
      • Analyses deals/ contracts/ transactions to confirm value proposition and provide risk assessment of each deal.
      • Provide market input and commercial expertise for operational planning.
      • Support budget preparation (sales + costs).
      • Management reporting (sales, costs, market) for the area of responsibility.
      • Review of sales mandates (approval within guidelines).
      • Proactively seek improvement opportunities and initiate innovative solutions that lead to improved business performance

      About you

      To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

      • University degree in either a technical or commercial discipline.
      • At least 7 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing across the mining and metals industry, preferably in the bulk commodities sector.
      • Proven track record in leading commercial negotiations.
      • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability, with a hunger to drive commercial performance.
      • Strong communication, presentation and influencing abilities.
      • Demonstrated experience in prioritising and working through a networked organisation in achieving results.
      • Good understanding of the European business culture and strong relationship management skills.
      • Ability to undertake frequent travel within Europe.

      It will also be beneficial if you have:

      • Experience in Borates.
      • Fluent abilities to converse in multiple European languages.
      • Knowledge in Agriculture/ Chemical sectors.
