What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Identify and generate leads through various prospecting techniques, including cold calling and networking
- Conduct product demonstrations and maintain a deep understanding of company products and services
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and positioning appropriate solutions
- Manage the sales process from negotiations to closing deals, maintaining accurate records in CRM systems
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, preferably in SaaS or solutions-based sales in the academic and Higher Education market
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets within a designated territory
- Strong understanding of sales processes and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales prospecting tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with RFPs and tender contributions
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor market trends
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients (expected to be 25% - 40%)
