What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Travel seasonally to sell frontlist titles in person and maximize opportunities with various accounts
- Promote and support backlist sales through creative sales approaches and inventory reviews
- Create and manage custom Edelweiss collections and markups to assist sales efforts
- Represent the employer and clients at trade shows and conferences as necessary
- Handle account inquiries and provide support to ensure customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: College or university degree in a related field
- 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Valid driver's license
- Strong understanding of the book retail sector, including market trends and distribution channels
- Proficiency with Edelweiss and Microsoft Office programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of work experience in the book industry
- Independent bookstore experience
- Proven ability to cultivate and develop positive business relationships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for presenting books and conveying information
