What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive inbound calls from prospective enrollees for individual dental insurance products and assess customer needs
- Guide customers through payment options and complete new applications, ensuring a smooth enrollment process
- Respond to existing customer inquiries regarding eligibility, benefits, claims, and billing while emphasizing customer education
- Track and document customer interactions and resolutions in the computer system
- Handle complex calls related to enrollment and billing issues that require research and analysis
What is Required (Qualifications):
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but proven experience will be considered
- Active insurance sales license as per state DOI regulations (e.g., Life, Accident, Sickness)
- Minimum of 4 years of successful customer service sales experience within a call center or related heavy customer contact role
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to multitask
- Detail-oriented with the ability to learn and retain new processes and guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Dental assisting certificate or experience in a dental office or dental lab
- 1 year of contact center experience in a dental insurance environment or dental claims adjudication experience
- Ability to handle constant customer contact with a strong focus on service excellence
