- A critical role within the programme, the Product Owner will work collaboratively with the wider team acting as an ambassador for the programme to the wider business; including regular interaction with Partners and C-suite level stakeholders
- Developing, socialising and gaining sign-off on of the product strategy & roadmap for CRM
- Supporting reference groups and other business change and engagement activities to sell and develop the vision with the wider firm
- Signing off on user stories, persona-based journey analysis and product-based testing, design testing and UX / UI processes
- Designing and implementing a Salesforce Centre of Excellence which is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the Salesforce landscape at Linklaters. This will include but is not limited to hiring, budget control & people management
- Working with the global business to collate feedback, understand their needs and making recommendations on appropriate responses. This includes capturing requests for new features, enhancements and use cases, and ensuring these are managed through the appropriate channels (backlog management / roadmap input)
- Staying current with the evolution of the Salesforce ecosystem: managing third party relationships, representing the firm, identifying opportunities to develop the Salesforce landscape, active participation in the Trailblazer community, and where appropriate, coordinating with other Salesforce clients to help influence the future roadmap
- Impact assessing upcoming product releases and technical changes to the Salesforce solution; and providing recommendations on necessary change & training activities to improve Salesforce adoption and the continuous evolution of associated behaviours, working practices & processes across the firm
- Working with Sourcing, Technology and Finance teams to ensure licensing arrangements remain current and commercially viable; ongoing ownership of benefits realisation activity to ensure Linklaters derives the maximum ROI from its license investmen
- Coordinating Salesforce solution governance, including chairing any internal governance board(s) as required
- Deep experience working with Salesforce and understanding how it enables business outcomes
- Experience of working on a Salesforce implementation programme; and then transitioning this into a Product Ownership or Product Management role
- Experience of the Agile methodology, DevOps and software development lifecycle
- Taking responsibility for successful product adoption and coordinating related change management and training activity
- Strong commercial judgement and awareness
- Liaising with and coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve a common goal
- Liaising with non-technical Salesforce users, translating feedback into technical requirements
- Being the primary contact for a solution or product for business stakeholders
- A track record as a self-starter who can embed new processes and develop the role as required
- Experience working in a legal or professional services organisation
- Previous experience of Salesforce development advantageous
- Strong understanding of how Salesforce works, the capabilities it can enable, and proven knowledge of the wider Salesforce product set
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive or potentially controversial situations
- An understanding of good data management principles and how good data drives business decisions
- An understanding of technical dependencies, risks and issues in relation to achieving agreed objectives
- Strong understanding of Agile methodology, IT Architecture, and Salesforce in the legal context
- Awareness of IT system management support and maintenance activities from both a technical and business-impacting perspective

Global Product Owner, Salesforce - Your role:
The Salesforce programme is a transformational change for the firm, and central to the achievement of our strategy. The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that the design and build of the solution aligns to our client strategy, effectively supports the transformation of our approach to business development and promotes client-centricity at the heart of everything we do. The role will initially report directly into the Programme; however, as we progress through implementation, the role will transition into designing and leading a Salesforce Centre of Excellence within the agreed business function, including direct line management responsibility for circa 5-10 individuals.
