- Coordinate multiple interpreter and CART requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Manage incoming service requests and outgoing confirmations efficiently.
- Prepare and share materials between clients and providers for upcoming assignments.
- Ensure providers receive complete prep materials, instructions, and details for each job.
- Maintain up-to-date scheduling databases, including special requests and client preferences.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with clients, interpreters, vendors, and Deaf/hard of hearing consumers.
- Uphold confidentiality and compliance with industry standards and guidelines (RID, CPC).
- Contribute to special projects that support MAIG's mission.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and conferences as needed.
- High school diploma and 3-4 years of experience in ASL and/or CART scheduling.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database management.
- Experience scheduling large volumes of people across multiple locations.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills-both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Conversational fluency in American Sign Language (ASL) and familiarity with Deaf culture strongly preferred.
- Remote position (primary work location specified in telework agreement).
- Ability to sustain repetitive motion of arms, wrists, and hands for extended periods.
- Close and distance vision clarity, with or without corrective lenses.
- Routine standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Frequent ASL and spoken English interpretation for extended durations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Primarily a remote position (primary work location outlined in telework agreement).
- Flexibility with work hours required; evenings and weekends may be necessary.
- May require travel up to 25% via air, car, or rail.
- Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, phone, copier, etc.).
- Sedentary role with occasional light lifting (up to 20 lbs).

About the Role
Reporting to the Schedule Manager, the Scheduler / Project Specialist ensures smooth scheduling and coordination of interpreting and CART services. You'll serve as the central point of contact between clients and providers-balancing multiple requests, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring every assignment runs seamlessly.
