What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coach the Scrum team to enhance performance and facilitate meetings
- Remove impediments to progress and shield the team from external distractions
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to manage and prioritize the product backlog
- Facilitate Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives to ensure team accountability and progress
- Monitor team dynamics and address any agile anti-patterns or challenges
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be able to communicate effectively with teams and demonstrate value-add principles
- Experience as a Scrum Master for a software team applying Scrum principles and practices
- In-depth agile knowledge and software development experience to coach team members
- Ability to enforce Agile/Scrum concepts and make tough calls when necessary
- Strong observational skills to identify issues and elevate them to management
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with techniques for effective product backlog management
- Familiarity with monitoring agile anti-patterns and improving team dynamics
- Previous experience in facilitating agile events and ensuring process adherence
- Knowledge of software engineering practices and trends in quality and velocity
