Position Summary - Scrum Master II (Reimagine the Bank Program)
We are launching a strategic, enterprise wide "Reimagine the Bank" transformation program aimed at modernizing how we serve clients, onboard new relationships, and create operational efficiencies across Commercial Banking. This multi-year initiative spans multiple workstreams and sub-workstreams, including Client Servicing Experience, Client Onboarding Experience, and Operational Efficiency enablement across front-, middle-, and back-office functions.
The program is delivered using cross-functional delivery pods aligned to business capabilities. We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master II with Commercial Banking experience to support delivery across one or more pods within the Program.
Scrum Master's will be assigned to the program and are expected to operate as an integrated Scrum Master community, collaborating closely to manage cross-pod dependencies, support Program Increment (PI) planning and execution, and ensure alignment to program-level objectives and milestones.
This Scrum Master II will support specific workstream involving Single Sign-On (SSO) portals and SSO application integrations, ensuring secure, seamless access across enterprise banking platforms. This role will contribute to large-scale banking transformation and modernization initiatives, coordinating delivery across multiple systems and stakeholders. The candidate will work closely with distributed and offshore teams, managing dependencies, facilitating Agile ceremonies across time zones, and ensuring consistent adoption of Agile practices to enable predictable, high-quality delivery.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead and support 2+ Agile pods, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Coach teams on Agile and Scrum principles, ensuring adherence to best practices and continuous improvement
• Partner with Product/Experience Owners, Engineering, and Banking stakeholders to align delivery with business priorities
• Facilitate story writing, backlog refinement, prioritization, and readiness to ensure sprint goals are met
• Enable teams to identify, manage, and remove impediments and dependencies, particularly across core banking systems
• Collaborate with other Scrum Masters to drive cross-team coordination and resource alignment
• Use Agile metrics to track progress, highlight risks, and drive actionable insights through retrospectives
• Lead team maturity assessments and implement coaching plans to improve Agile effectiveness
• Support risk identification and mitigation using Agile delivery data and best practices
• Foster a culture of trust, transparency, and continuous learning
• Mentor junior Scrum Masters and guide teams toward self-organization and accountability
• Facilitate decision-making, conflict resolution, and stakeholder alignment across delivery teams
• Ensure stories are "sprint-ready" and aligned with product vision, architectural standards, and banking controls
Required Skills & Experience
• Commercial Banking experience - REQUIRED
• 8+ years of experience in Agile delivery with 3+ years as a Scrum Master
• Proven experience leading multiple Agile pods in complex, enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of banking systems, integrations, and regulatory delivery constraints
• Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Qualifications & Certifications
• Required: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent practical experience
