      SCUK MG Regional Finance Development Manager, North East

      Supporting the MG Financial Services sales function, the Regional Finance Development Manager is responsible for the management of revenue streams and relationships within their appointed region. The aim of the role is to exceed performance, customer quality and service related objectives. They also need to be able to provide coaching to their retailers through regular finance reviews along with training and development.

      Reporting into the National Sales Manager they will be allocated a dedicated region of responsibilities. The region would incorporate the postcodes within the North East region The successful new recruit will ideally live within a reasonable commute to cover this territory.

      Responsibilities will include:

      • Sales & Business Management: To achieve sales targets within set timescales

      • Relationship Management & External Perspective: To manage and develop a number of complex key business retailer relationships. Maintain & develop market intelligence for business development and planning to maximise sales & volume

      • Business Development & Planning: Set up plans & objectives to achieve sales targets within timescales. Review, monitor and respond as appropriate to business volumes and market conditions to achieve sales targets. Identify and develop quality business opportunities via both new and existing contacts to meet regional targets

      • Service & Risk Management: Manage and monitor agreed quality service levels. Monitor and control all activities to ensure processes comply with company procedures to restrict risk within company tolerances

      • Conduct Risk: Ensure that supporting retailers are compliant when promoting finance within regulatory guidelines as determined by the FCA

      • Risk Management: Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework

      • Personal Development: Take responsibility to seek opportunities to improve personal contribution through training and development therefore improving quality standards

      What we’re looking for:

      • Proven experience of working in a sales and targets environment within the Motor Finance Industry

      • Excellent and proven track record of achieving sales targets

      • Excellent interpersonal and customer care skills

      • Strong relationship management skills

      • Proven ability to communicate via different methods at all levels

      • Proven ability to negotiate and influence both internally and externally

      • Thorough understanding of relevant regulatory requirements eg FCA, Money

      • Awareness and knowledge of external marketplace; organisational structures, products, etc.
