The Massachusetts State Reclamation and Mosquito Control Board (SRB),within the Department of Agricultural Resources, oversees mosquito control in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts including 12 regional programs. SRB establishes administrative and technical policies, guidelines, and best management practices to ensure mosquito control programs are safe and effective.
The Plymouth County Mosquito Control Project, located at 272 S Meadow Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360 is an agency of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts that provides mosquito control services.
The Project is seeking applicants for a Seasonal Office Assistant (seasonal contract position) during the 2024 season.
A cover letter and resume must be submitted as part of the application process and attached “as relevant” to the requisition.
Period of Employment: May 10, 2024– August 31, 2024; depending on the need and funding, possible employment may be available in September. Hours are 6:30AM - 3:00PM.
The primary of purpose of this position is to assist with administrative duties during the peak mosquito control season.
Duties include:
1. Answer the telephone and log requests for service.
2. Maintain database of requests.
3. Distribute information/service requests to field technicians each day.
4. Notify local authorities of areas to be treated on a regular basis.
5. Maintain files.

Strong computer skills--experience with Word/Excel/Access; strong customer service skills; effective communication skills and ability to work in a busy office environment.
