  Cognizant is looking for a talented and experienced Securities & Funds Settlements Specialist. This 12-month fixed-term position is based in Zürich and comes with a favourable salary and the opportunity to explore flexible working arrangements.

  As a Securities and Funds Settlements Specialist, you will provide settlement services, ensure securities portfolios are transferred between other financial institutions, and play an active role in ensuring accurate realignments of securities positions.

  In your first few weeks in this Securities Settlements role, you can expect to:

  · Guarantee timely settlement of transactions in global markets

  · Play an active role in looking after accurate realignments of securities positions

  · Process private placement hedge funds and mutual funds transfers for our clients

  · Ensure risk aware exception handling, trade monitoring and manual interventions on client and market transactions

  · Liaise between custodians and transfer agents to ensure timely settlement.

  To apply for this Securities & Funds Settlements specialist role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

  · 1-6 years relevant experience

  · An understanding of securities markets, specifically functions of a custodian

  · Knowledge of Equities and Fixed Income products with an understanding of processing confirmations and settlements

  · Basic understanding of Corporate Actions event processing and reconciliation

  · Profound expertise in securities settlements (capturing, instructing and monitoring orders)

  · Knowledge of SWIFT messaging, typically MT54x settlement instructions.
