What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Read and evaluate a high volume of young adult and adult books across various genres and formats
- Recommend titles for selection based on literary merit, circulation potential, and relevance
- Collaborate with team members to share insights and coordinate selections
- Track and manage title evaluations using internal tools and databases
- Meet deadlines for evaluating books and submitting selections for clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- MLIS or School Media Specialist certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in libraries or in K-12 education
- Strong knowledge of young adult and adult crossover literature
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, SharePoint, and Teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with library trends and literacy
- Experience selecting books that appeal to teen readers
