What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide advanced administrative coordination to the Department Chair and support office operations
- Arrange business travel, coordinate meetings, and manage agenda and expense tracking
- Compile data for preparation and editing for senior leaders
- Review and answer correspondence, screen callers and visitors, and handle confidential matters
- Organize meetings and materials for special events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma; Bachelor's degree may substitute for experience
- Minimum of four years of relevant experience; a Bachelor's degree may substitute for years of experience
- Capacity to work independently and make decisions based on standard operating procedures
- Ability to establish office procedures and ensure implementation
- Experience in leading, training, or serving as a subject matter expert to other staff
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Previous experience in an academic or healthcare setting
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in managing electronic files and producing reports
