What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Oracle Linux, including troubleshooting and maintaining physical and virtual servers
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot physical hardware, including Dell and Nutanix servers
- Create scripts in a Linux shell to automate repetitive processes and assist users with server-related issues
- Conduct analysis and logging of Host Intrusion Detection Systems tools, such as Splunk alerts
- Monitor system performance and vendor management using Splunk ITSI
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience, plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience
- Advanced understanding of server-based operating systems and hands-on experience with large-scale enterprise server solutions
- Strong troubleshooting skills within Linux OS, networking, and storage technologies
- Subject matter expertise with the ability to mentor others in server environment administration
- Azure Cloud experience, confirmed with AZ104 class or other Azure certification
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Red Hat or similar level of certifications
- Familiarity with Splunk, AWS Cloud support, ClearCase, Centrify/Delinea, and Python
- Understanding of Linux kernel to analyze CPU and memory performance
- Knowledge of ITIL service framework and experience with Agile tools and methodology
